A Vietnam family visit visa (TT visa) is issued to foreign nationals entering Vietnam to visit relatives, including spouses, parents, and children of:

• Vietnamese citizens
• Or foreign nationals legally residing in Vietnam

This visa is valid for up to 12 months and can be issued for single or multiple entries. After entry, applicants may be eligible for a Temporary Residence Card (TRC) valid for up to 3 years.

• Foreigners who are parents, spouses, or children of Vietnamese citizens
• Foreigners who are spouses or children under 18 of foreign nationals holding valid visas in Vietnam (LV1, LV2, LS, ĐT1, ĐT2, ĐT3, NN1, NN2, DH, PV1, LĐ1, LĐ2)

  • Form NA3 (if applying from abroad)
  • Form NA5 (if applying within Vietnam)
  • Must be certified by local authorities
• Passport of the applicant
  • Valid for at least 6 months, with at least 2 blank pages
• Proof of relationship
  • Birth certificate / marriage certificate / household registration
  • Must be legalized and notarized if in a foreign language
• Sponsor’s documents
  • Certified ID card (CCCD)
  • Certified household registration
• Photos
  • 2 passport-sized photos (4×6 cm, white background)
• Authorization letter
  • For the person submitting the application

3.2 Case 2: Sponsored by a foreign national

Applicable to foreign nationals holding visas such as LV, LS, ĐT, NN, DH, PV, LĐ… sponsoring their spouse or children under 18.
